We all know the deal: you go online, you click a few ads, and then you get paid. It’s easy money, right? WRONG.
There are tons of scams out there that promise easy money for clicking on ads, but the truth is that most of these schemes are nothing more than ways to steal your hard-earned cash.
So, how can you tell the difference between a legitimate opportunity to make money online by clicking on ads, and a clickbait scam?
Here are a few things to look out for:
1. ridiculously high earnings claims. If someone is promising you $100 per day for clicking on ads, it’s almost certainly a scam. Legitimate opportunities to make money online don’t typically involve such high earnings claims.
2. A “guarantee” of payment. No one can guarantee that you’ll make money by clicking on ads. If someone does make this guarantee, it’s almost certainly a scam.
3. A need for investment. You should never have to pay anything upfront in order to earn money by clicking on ads. If someone asks you to do this, it’s almost certainly a scam.
4. An offer that’s too good to be true. This applies to any sort of online opportunity – if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
5. Pressure to sign up immediately. Scammers will often try to pressure you into signing up for their scheme right away, before you have a chance to think about it or do any research. Don’t let them rush you – take your time and if something doesn’t feel right, walk away from it.
If you see any of these red flags, beware! These are all major indicators that the opportunity is likely a clickbait scam designed to steal your money.
