The Government is giving a golden opportunity to the educated unemployed youths of our country by providing them with a freelancing for free course. This course will help them to be self-reliant and earn a good income by utilizing their skills and knowledge. The course will also sharpen their skills and make them more employable in the future.
The government has taken this initiative under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). The main aim of this programme is to generate self-employment opportunities for the educated unemployed youths of our country. Under this programme, the government will provide financial assistance to those who are willing to start their own business or become self-employed.
The scheme provides for two types of financial assistance, namely, bank loan and margin money. Bank loan is provided at a concessional rate of interest and margin money is provided as grant from the government. The beneficiaries have to repay the bank loan within a specified period of time.
